Now here's another one you should be aware of - don't believe a word of it:

"Microsoft Customer

This update applies to:
- MS Internet Explorer, version 4.01 and later

It might look genuine at first glance, but don't even think of running the attached file unless you want your pc infected with the W32.Swen.A@mm or W32.Gibe.B@mm virus!!! Microsoft never sends patches via email so go check out their site and download the patches from there instead: http://www.microsoft.com/security/

Scam, spam and other nasty stuff - part I

 First published 27.09.2003 - 2004-May-17 16:55:01

I just can't stand it: SPAM!! The messages keep coming in, and I keep throwing them out. It seems like a battle I can never ever win, and maybe that is the case - hope not! Usually the spams are related to 'non-branded' viagra, sliagra and other weird products that I am not very interested in, but today I found a new one in my inbox:

"Dear Paypal Member.

Thank you for using PayPal!

Yeah, right - whatever!!! I don't even have a PayPal account so why on earth would I want to verify anything at all??? For a moment there I was actually tempted to open the link.....
