My internet provider has setup a spamfilter! I activated it about 48 hours ago, and it has picked up 23 messages already. My normal inbox is squeaky clean. The filter has made NO mistakes yet. I love it! This doesn't mean the end of my blog, though, because I can actually access the spambox if I want to. I can have Mailwasher load all the messages so that I can filter out the interesting ones and post them here. I am so relieved!

I can't believe it! The moment I uploaded my last message, my anti-spam-filter intercepted another one of these nasty litte monsters. I've been out of the running for a while, but my email account hasn't. It's been collecting numerous spams since last time I blogged anything, but I haven't felt the urge to rat on anyone lately. I wonder why, because it used to give me a wonderful feeling to be able to "get even" with those spammers! Oh, well. I guess I'll get over it soon seeing the enormous amount of useless messages that is cluttering my inbox every day. One day only, I had a total of about 25 email. 20 of these were from people I have never, ever talked to, let alone exchanged email addresses with - knowingly and of my own free will, that is. Some of them I have safely tucked away as text files on my harddisk for publishing at a later time, others have been "archived" as in dumped, flushed down the drain, booted, exterminated et cetera. I am still at war with the vermin, though it might not have felt my wrath as strongly these last couple of months. I've gotta do something about that right NOW!

It started out so nice and easy, and after not so very long it turned sort of nasty, at least it wasn't the type of message I had expected to see in my inbox this morning :-( Here's the message with some words beeped out. Oh, my god!! I have been setup for a blind date again???? This is blind date number 7, and counting! I can't imagine any of my friends setting me up for a blind date via internet.
